Continuum Complete AVX (BCC AVX) streamlines workflow for the Avid editor. A set of more than 170 fully native filters and transitions animate directly in the Avid Effect Editor window. A large range of effects deliver everything from basic utility to eye-catching special effects for Avid systems.
Customers upgrading from Continuum Complete AVX 5.0 will get these new features:

Boris Continuum Complete AVX: 170+ native transitions and filters for Avid NLEs
Boris Continuum Complete AVX (BCC AVX) is a comprehensive suite of native filters and transitions for Avid editors. BCC AVX is bundled with all Avid Media Composer Adrenaline systems and is available as an optional plug-in for Avid Xpress Pro, Avid Xpress DV, and other Avid NLEs. More than 170 sophisticated filters include Lens Flare, Glint, Match Grain, Optical Flow, Motion Blur, Motion Key, Wire Remover, and Witness Protection. The filters and transitions are animated in the Avid timeline and Effect Editor window. A subset of the effects preview in real time in Avid Xpress Pro and Avid Xpress DV.
PixelChooser
The PixelChooser is a unique masking tool integrated into most BCC AVX filters. Region controls define the area of the image to affect, while Matte controls let you use the image's chroma and luma to control the intensity of the effect. BCC AVX 4 adds a new PixelChooser option which allows you to define a region by drawing a vector shape onscreen with bézier handles for more precise control.
Presets
BCC AVX includes hundreds of presets so that you can begin creating effects immediately. Each preset can be rendered as is or used as a starting point for a custom effect. Easily save any effect you create as a custom preset with any filter or transition.
Applying an Effect to an Avid Title or Matte Key
Applying an effect to an Avid Title or Matte Key without affecting the background video is as simple as applying the filter and clicking a single checkbox.
Integrated Motion Tracking
Motion Tracking is integrated into all appropriate BCC AVX 4 effects. For example, track a logo on a t-shirt, then obscure the logo with a blur.

Advanced High Quality Keying
BCC AVX offers Chroma Key, Matte Choking, and Alpha Process for precise, clean keys.
Stack Multiple Filters on Keyed Elements or Titles
The new Multi-filter feature enables more precise keying and expands the range of effects by providing an easy workflow for applying multiple filters that only affect a foreground element rather than the entire video frame.
Filters for Sophisticated Blending of Layers
Composite, RGB Blend, and Boost Blend enable a wide variety of image blending effects based on Apply Modes. You can easily combine Apply Modes, animate between them, and mix back to the original image to create a wide variety of looks.
Time Based Effects
BCC AVX uses the Avid AVX 2.0 API which allows for the creation of time-based effects such as realistic motion blur and smoothly ramping motion effects. The Time filters include Motion Key, which is based on proprietary optical flow technology first introduced in BCC AVX's Optical Flow and Motion Blur filters. The Motion Key isolates and removes moving foreground objects from a clip without the need for complex masking or cloning.
A Wide Range of Powerful Filtering, Distorting, and Generating Capabilities
Use BCC AVX to Tint, Tone, Blur, Glow, Distort, and Transform video images. Add Light Rays, Film Grain and Scratches, Lens Flares, Rain, or Snow. Remove unwanted Noise, Grain, or Scratches; precisely adjust Light and Color levels, and smoothly Deinterlace video and simulate the motion of film. Image filtering effects can be selectively applied using PixelChooser masking and Apply Modes. BCC AVX 4 effects include:
